An interactive series of pilot online sessions designed to empower educators with innovative tools, digital competencies, and practical strategies to deliver and implement the DEMo4PPL Modular Participatory Planning Curriculum (ModPPC) in diverse educational and professional contexts, was completed in the framework of the DEMo4PPL project.

The first week if the Train the Trainers programme was concluded on Friday 24/01/2025. The first training session “Co-production and Co-management of Urban Commons” was implemented on-line, with 24 participants from Italy, Greece, Bulgaria and Poland. The training was conducted by Daniela Ciaffi, Associate Professor in POLITO and Vice President of LABSUS (https://www.labsus.org/).

The second training session, titled “Participatory Mapping / GIS” was held on Friday the 24th of January, with 20 participants. The training was conducted on-line, by Marta Nalej, Assistant Professor at the University of Lodz.

The third training session of the DEMo4PPL Train the Trainers programme, titled “Cultural Diversity and Public Participation” was concluded on Thursday the 30th of January, with 34 participants. The training was conducted on-line, by Neda Dimitrova, Assistant Professor at Varna University of Management.

The second week if the DEMo4PPL Train the Trainers programme was concluded on Friday the 31st. The  training session titled “Indicators’ Based Tool (IBTool). A tool designed to support decision-making processes at the urban/district scale” was implemented on-line, with 30 participants. The training was conducted by Francesca Abastante, Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino & Beatrice Mecca, Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Torino.

The DEMo4PPL Train the Trainers Programme was concluded on January 31st with the 5th training session titled “Living Labs as mediators for co-planning of desirable futures”. The session was led by Joëlle Mastelic Full Professor, University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Western Switzerland and President of Energy Living Lab association as well as Anastasia Ponomareva, Scientific collaborator, University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Western Switzerland.
